Arnold Lobel

Arnold Lobel (1933–1987) is the much beloved and celebrated author–illustrator of many classic bestselling books for children, including the Frog and Toad series, Mouse Tales, Owl at Home, Prince Bertram the Bad, Giant John, and Fables, for which he was awarded the Caldecott Medal.
